While many people are highly sceptical of dice control, there are a few famous examples of players who’ve beaten the casinos in craps repeatedly. Dominic “The Dominator” LoRiggio is one of the players who made a very nice living by beating the house edge in craps. Also called “The Man with the Golden Arm,” LoRiggio routinely won thousands of dollars each night at the craps tables. He has also demonstrated his skills in front of audiences as LoRiggio currently holds the world record for most rolls without a seven turning up at 56.
Another dice control expert who has taken the casino for lots of money is LoRiggio’s partner Frank Scoblete. Before meeting LoRiggio, Scoblete was been a lifelong gambler who had worked to perfect his dice control skills over the years. Scoblete was already successful at craps in his own right, but after meeting up with LoRiggio, the two-man team won tens of thousands every night at various casinos.
On the heels of LoRiggio and Scoblete’s success, dozens of other dice control “experts” and coaches have sprung up. Some of them claim they can turn anybody into a craps winner while others simply offer advice while making no guarantees. In any case, pretty much everybody says that dice control takes months or even years of practice before one becomes great.
For some people not even coaches, practice, or any amount of advice leads them to beating the house. This being said, many people are still sceptical as to whether or not dice control works and think that coaches and experts are charlatans. On the other hand, is it really so hard to believe that somebody could avoid rolling 7’s once and a while by using the same throwing motion over and over again?
