Famous faces go gambling

It might be the large sums of money they make when appearing in blockbusters or it could even be the gambling theme of the movies they play in, either way, actors have found a key interest in gambling. Their acting skills might even become handy in perfecting their poker face and their status brings a desired income in fundraising tournaments.

George Clooney was perhaps inspired by his starring role in Oceans 11, 12 and 13, or more likely by the fact that he is ridiculously minted, he also taken an active role in the gambling business when he invested an unknown sum of money in a $ 3 billion resort in a Las Vegas and the co-owner of Las Ramblas, a casino-hotel-condominium complex since 2007.

Another Oceans 11, 12 & 13 cast is Brad Pitt, he also invested $ 3 billion in a Las Vegas casino complex. While filming Ocean’s 12 in Rome, Bradley, along with co-stars George Clooney and Matt Damon with their guest, Michael Douglas, husband of co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones, were engaged in late-night poker sessions, and some of them were as good as professional players.

Also an Oceans 11, 12, & 13, the star of Jason Bourne Project, Saving Private Ryan, Matt Damon is also very passionate about poker. He’s a regular entrant in the annual World Series of Poker, and his most interesting WSOP story occurred back in 1998. Miramax Studios entered both him and Edward Norton in the WSOP Main Event ($10,000 buy-in) to promote the upcoming Rounders. He is considered an excellent poker player and was rumored to have been offered a $1 million endorsement from online gaming giant Nine.com.

In a blockbuster movie Pearl Harbor, Armageddon and Daredevil, Ben Affleck is one of the most accomplished celebrity poker players, Affleck won $ 356,000 at the California State Poker Championship in 2004 and a $25,000 seat in the 2005 World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship.
