Pineapple Rolls

½ lb of cream cheese
½ lb of butter
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
pineapple preserves (add 2tsps flour)
Mix ingredients into a ball.
Wrap the ball in plastic wrap and chill for an hour or longer until firm.
Flour surface, roll ball into relatively thin layer.
Slice small squares about 1 to 2 inches, fill center of the square with preserves of your choice.
(Make sure you mix preserves in a bowl with a tiny bit of flour so they are not watery)
Fold each side to the middle.
Grease cookie sheet, bake 18 minutes (keep an eye on them because the flaps like to fly up like butterflies)
Remove from the oven when they are golden brown, they cook quickly.
